Leg twitches??? Do you get these? It's when your leg seems to suddenly have a mind of its own. Out of nowhere your leg starts jumping, jolting or twitching. You can't stop it or control it. I just look at my leg and wait for it to stop. It's like having a carnival side show all to yourself! My husband saw it tonight and looked at me like "what the hell"!

Ok I am really upset! I just read on Facebook from a fellow MS'er that her food stamp are being cut from $200.00 to $15.00 a month!!!!
Frankly this pisses me off!! I am sick and tired of hearing fellow MS'ers struggling for basic needs! We are sick and can not work! How are people going to survive?
How about we cut off all the welfare recipients that seem to be "lifetimers" on the system! Lets mandate drug tests in order to receive any type of government assistance! I was on welfare for a few years while I recovered from my heart condition. As soon as my doctor said I was healthy enough to work. I happily found a job. I struggled raising my son without any child support or government assistance. I busted my ass working my way up and earned a great living before MS struck me.
We as MS'ers need to stand up and contact our politicians to make changes. No one that is elderly or disabled should ever struggle for medicines, food and shelter! It's just a screwed up system if I can get better benefits and free, plus subsidized housing, cash and food stamps all if I just get pregnant again!
I'll tell you what our system is screwed up! Lets band together and start making changes! We can all sit by and wait for someone else to hopefully makes changes for us.....or we can get off our butts and make changes NOW!

I swear this is what I am thought as!
Are you a parent or step parent? I swear my husband and seem to only fight about the kids. I get emailed every night my step sons current school grade. It shows all the assignments and if he did them or not. My step son is VERY smart. I made a lot of mistakes with my son when he was in school. I have learned from that. I want to make sure he gets good grades. I want him to graduate high school. My biggest mistake in my life was not showing my son that school was very important and he needed to get good grades and graduate.
It seems like anytime I say something about my step sons grades or anything. My husband will either right then bring up something about my son or come back at me later. I swear at times he is just "tit for tat" kinda thing. Yes I am tuff on my step son. My son tried everything so I learned to believe nothing a teenager says. I just don't want my step son to struggle in life like my son. My husband just thinks I am riding his butt and don't do that to my son. Both my son and step son will tell you I favor the other one! It's tough and I swear one day I am taking my dog and running away! So who has a place for me? Lol

Constipation....why does it make you gassier? It seems like the more constipated I am the worse my gas gets. I can't even get up and take a few steps without having "fart-booster"! My husband says the farts boost my walk! It's really bad. I get up to walk and with each step I am saying excuse me...excuse me!!
Can someone explain to me why the longer your constipation stays inside the worse the gas smells? Sometimes it's bad enough to gag myself! It obviously wants to come out because it keeps leaking odors! It's like it wants to just keep letting you know "hey your still full of it"!
I am so tired of being a gas bag!! Are any of you gas bags too?

Can you do Yoga or Palates? I saw a commercial for a DVD that combined Yoga, Palates and Dance all together. To me this is impossible!
First of all I can not stand on one leg. Then to boot balance my big ass on the one leg. I have seen a few people doing either yoga or palates at a gym before. They are always those cute tiny thin woman. They seem to never sweat but are really skinny! They always seem to dress so cute too! Meanwhile my big ass is sweating buckets on the treadmill going a steady 1.5! Lol
I look over at there yoga class and watch them. It's amazing what they do. I have seen them on the ground then legs going here and there. If I was on the ground and had to lift my leg up. I can guarantee you I would fart! Plus I could never lay my back on one of those medicine balls. It would frickin pop! If it didn't pop I would never be able to get off of it unless I just rolled off and fell to the floor! Then i would have to kay there for a moment. Then I would require assistance off the floor. This weeble wobble can not get off the floor! Downward dog....come one!
I gotta say I think it would be funny to watch a group of us MS'ers try to do yoga or palates! There would be plenty of Kodiak moments! Plus speaking for myself I am positive at some point I would have to pee and would spring a leak on my mat! Unless my mat was like a pee pad and was very absorbent....plus i think i want my mat to have wings!! for extra pee coverage! lol
I wasn't flexible before I got MS....bedroom flexibility doesn't count! Lol coordination I had very little before MS and basically none now!

Wishes....if you were given one wish but it couldn't be about fixing your health or someone else's or about money. What would your wish be?
I haven't put a lot of thought in this but I would have stayed in college to become a lawyer I think. No I changed it already! It would be to spend one more day with my father. I have struggled for 12 years with this. I loved my father very much but we as a family didn't tell each other we love one another. I want one more day with him to hug him and tell him over and over again just how much I love him.
Growing up showing no affection seemed normal to me. It wasn't until I became a mother that I realized it was strange. I never wanted my son to feel awkward to hug me or tell me he loves me. That was one cycle from my family that I broke. I am sure my son wishes I had also broke the communication by yelling! Lol! Oh well nobody's perfect! Lol

Tattoos....do you have one that you regret? I have Just one tattoo. As you can see its not pretty. It's in the "tramp stamp" location. I was married to my first husband. I got it because he said I was a "foo-foo" girl and he wanted me to I guess "un-foo-foo" a bit. It was much prettier on the wall. It was bright yellow and purple.
I would get it covered but due to my MS my back nerves are so touchy!
I can barley handle a pedicure and there is no poking into my skin with a pedicure.
As I get older and my skin starts to sag my butterfly is slowly turning into a moth! My husband says its turning into a dragonfly. I hate when I got a a doctors appointment if the doctor sees it. I don't regret getting the tattoo I regret picking this sideways butterfly! I better stay fat otherwise my skin will get loose and my butterfly may end up hibernating in my butt!! Lol
