Laughter is a great thing!! So here goes a funny story from tonight! My husband and I drove to get frozen yogurt. It was my husband and my dog Jake. He loves to go in the car and the yogurt place gives out big dog bones. Jakes was sitting on my lap right next to the door. He knows that he is going to get a treat. He sits there patiently wagging his tale. So we ordered our yogurts. My husband had the money. He handed me some money and dropped the a ten dollar bill on the floor in the car. My husband tried to bend down to get it. Keep in mind he had his seat belt on too. He tried to bend down and the seat belt locked up. His "12 pack" abs started to obstruct his breathing with the seat belt choking him too! He started making these strange gaspy type grunts and deep breathes. He tried once to grab the money and failed. He went down for another chance and sadly failed again! With his gasps getting louder we both busted out laughing! I said..."how many times will it take the chubby man to pick up the money"!!! We were laughing so hard and loud. He finally took off his seat belt and was able to grab the money. I asked him if he put gum on his finger so the money would stick to it! Maybe it was one of those "you had to be there" moments but to us it was frickin hilarious!! It was good to have a great laugh! I hope my description made you laugh too!

Respect....we each have to feel we are worthy of others respect. I have been a hypocrite. I am strong enough to preach to others about standing up and demanding the love and respect of others. I was just not that way in my own life. I guess I have been a "do what I say and not as I do" kinda person.

No longer will I do this. Last night I came to realize I deserve to be treated with respect. I will no longer allow anything less. We have to lay down to be walked on. I realized I would rather be alone then to be treated disrespectful. People will always have excuses for you. You just have to realize there is no good reason to disrespect your wife or husband. Drugs and alcohol are crutches and not excuses!

So today is a new day for me. It feels good to stand up and no longer allow myself to be treated wrong. We all have a choice. It just takes us to realize we are worth it! I am proud to say I AM WORTH IT!! I will be 44 years old on Thursday....it's about time!

I received a comment on my blog from a lady named Michelle. What she had to say frankly enraged me and pissed me off! Michelle says that Copaxone has gone up to $4,000. She said that her insurance company will not pay for it because they consider MS medications as "EXPERIMENTAL"!!!'
I find this outrageous! Of course it is kinda experimental....there is no frickin cure! I am hoping she will read this and send me another message. I would like go know what the name of the insurance company is.

Last time I checked treatments for Cancer, AIDS and a long list of other diseases are basically "experimental" treatments and medicines in hopes of prolonging a life until a cure is found. How dare any insurance company single out MS treatments. I would like to know if they provide chemo or radiation to help people suffering with cancer or provide AZT medicine to people with HIV or AIDS! I GUARANTEE that NO insurance company would deny a patient any of these treatments!
I am outraged and we all need to call this insurance company and write them letters. I will let you all know if I find out the name of her insurance company. This is disgusting behavior from an insurance company!!! We can not stand silent about this!!!! We have to take action!

We need to hold this insurance company accountable!

The power of forgiveness!
Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves and nothing to do with the perpetrator. Just because we needed their forgiveness and had the right to get it doesn't mean that person has the ability give you that. Sometimes we have to forgive people for being defective in an area we are successful in and in return we can allow others to forgive us in areas we are not as successful in. We can not conceive being forgiven until we ourselves have learned to forgive. Don't hang on to the hurt. It takes a strong person to forgive. Be strong and forgive. The weak hang on and don't forgive. It becomes a toxicity.
It's not about where you've been. It's about where your going. Forgive so you can be forgiven!

Limitations!! We all have them and some of us don't know how to follow them. I am included in that category.
I was thinking about how we have been talking about other people giving rude comments like "you don't look sick" or "your using your MS as an excuse to be lazy"! Now some of these comments may just be from ignorant minded people but it may also be our fault too. What I mean is I am not a complainer and I try to do everything I used to be able to do. I think subconsciously I don't want to admit I am sick and have limitations. My son and husband tell me to stop cleaning and rest. It's just hard for me to do that. Maybe I feel like if I do then I let MS win.

It's crazy right! I have a heart condition called Cardiomyopathy as well as MS. I have had my heart condition for 20 years. I have been blessed to have recovered from a few close calls. Currently I am again fighting to strengthen my heart again. I have dropped down to a 28% ejection fraction. If it drops lower I would have to get on a transplant list. I have been struggling with serious shortness of breath and dizziness. Even though I have that going on I still don't know my own limitations. I swear it will end up being the end of me! Lol found dead while trying to mop and clean my house!

Why is it so hard for us to admit to ourselves that we have limitations? This is why I think some people in our lives says ignorant things. They see is trying to look as if we are strong and have no limitations. I think that may give some the wrong impression of our illness. I did have a sister tell me "I am so sick of you using your health as an excuse"! As I said I DON'T complain. She is just an unhappy person and unfortunately takes it out on anyone she can. This is one reason I had to cut her out of my life. Family doesn't mean they can be hurtful or mean!

Does it ever hurt to hold your head up? What I mean is do the muscles in your neck and shoulders ever spasm more when your walking or sitting up? It's been happening to me more and more. I feel like my poor head/neck just needs to stay laying down. That helps take away some of the pain. I try not to take muscle relaxers very often cause they can cause constipation....and frankly I am already full of sh%#! LOL

Does this happen to you? What do you do to relieve the pain and discomfort? Please let me know.

What would you do with $10,000 dollars? Say you won it. How would you spend it? What would you buy?

I think I would splurge and go to the mall and buy some clothes, perfume and then hit the Coach store. I need a third Coach! Then I would go to the grocery store and pick out a few people and pay for their groceries. I have always wanted to do that. Then pay some bills. It would be gone in one day! Seriously....I can pull strength from the deepest of deeps to continue shopping! Lol
